December 18, 2008 at Brunswick Premier Lanes
Tra's Battle for Success mentorship program hosted its annual Holiday for Youth December 18, 2008 at Brunswick Premier Lanes. Tra invited 25 youth from the Special Olympics and 50 at-risk children from low-income families from the San Ysidro school district's Sunset Elementary for an evening of fun on the lanes.
The children were treated to a wonderful surprise as they had the opportunity to speak with Tra from Dallas , Texas by web cam provided by SKYPE. It was a very exciting evening for all the kids as they enjoyed bowling, great food, t-shirts, pictures, toys, new bikes & helmets… YEA!!!
Tra believes that giving is an important facet of life. The Toys were provided by Tom Groff, AFE's Holiday Angel & the bikes & helmets were provided by Bill & Debbie from their foundation “Bikes for Kids” Through giving in the community, Tra believes that he will inspire not only the recipients but others to do good deeds in a society that so desperately needs it.
