Steve Gregory visits Mrs. Cathy Fedrizzi: Third Grade

"The kids loved having Steve come and talk to them. He was so down to earth, and he responded to each child as if he/she were the only child in the room. After he left, I used his visit as a "teachable moment." The kids opened their writer's notebook, and wrote about the event, and one thing that was learned. The predominant themes were: always believe you can do it, always work towards your goals, and never give up. They even stuck their stickers that Steve left, right into their notebooks with their entry. It was a great impromptu lesson, and I was very please with what they wrote."
