Greg Camarillo & his program director Jeffery Camarillo arranged a performance for the students from Vanguard middle school May 15, 2009. The students shared that they all appreciated Kidz in the Hall for coming to perform some of their songs, speak about education, and also answer any questions the students here at Vanguard had.
It was very fascinating to hear about the successes of Kidz in the Hall and how they came about. I learned that both Naledge and Double-O went to college and they are both two successful adults. It was great to hear about their story which seemed to encourage many of the students to want to attend college in the future.
Students remarked they loved Kidz they all seemed appreciative Greg & Jeff provided this performance as a reward for their improved academics & citizenship!!!

A Dream Night with the Clippers and Charging Forward
On Monday, December 24 th, 2008 , 17 young male and female student-athletes from the city of Compton were treated to a dream night on the town in Los Angeles for their hard work in the classroom and their respective athletic arenas. Thanks to Charging Forward, these young men and women were picked up at their school in beautiful 20 passenger black Hummer limo. They were luxuriously escorted to the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles , where they had a lovely dinner on a terrace balcony overlooking the scenic views of downtown LA. Many of them sampled lobster bisque for the first time and enjoyed delicious burgers and fries and other entrees courtesy of the Bonaventure Brewing Co., who gladly donated 24 free dinners to our group! We then jumped back into the limo, with the latest hip-hop songs blasting through the multitude of subwoofers and speakers, and were taken to the front of the Staples Center.
